Going live with the Procurios API

This section contains information on going live with your new application, as well as on what you can expect from us in the future.

Are you ready to go live?

Congratulations! Running your new application against your client's production environment is easy.

Your client can manage access to both the staging and production environments. You can tell these apart by the domainname, a staging environment will have "staging" in the name. (ie. clientname-staging.procurios.cloud)

Each environment will also have its own credentials, so once you are ready to go live, just communicate with the production domain using your production credentials, that's it!

Documentation, logs and testing on the production environment

Both the staging and production environment have the API documentation, with all its features. You may or may not have access to both, this is also managed by your client.

If you have document access to the production environment, you will be able to access the logs for any live calls. You will also be able to make test calls there.

Caution: Test calls still apply their results to the actual data, even in the production environment. You should be aware that you can modify or remove production data by executing these calls.

Future updates

Software is never done, nor is it ever without bugs. As such, we will continue to work on the Procurios API.

Sometimes, this work has implications for those already working with our API. Should we ever run into an issue that might cause problems with your code, we will inform you. We do this by contacting you on the email address you used to sign in to this documentation.

These emails might contain details on a critical bugfix we are implementing or methods you use that are being deprecated. These emails are always meant for technical users and will not contain marketing messages or new feature announcements. We only send them rarely.

New features and options that are introduced to the platform are mailed to your client instead, and you should hear from them if they wish to make use of them.
